QOLLAB : RICHARD DOROTHEO
- DISTRICT 10: PRO BONO PROJECT -
- The Story -
During winter break of my senior year in college (2011), I moved back home to Bloomington Indiana for a month. As some of you may know, my sleep schedule consists of very little sleep or schedule, so I had to rent out some commercial space and make it a studio to rock out without waking up my mom.
My good friend Richard Dorotheo (who is partially responsible for me getting into production in the first place) was on a similar backwards schedule, so we would head to the studio around 8pm and stay until about 6am working on all sorts of experimental tracks. This is when I was getting tired of making hip-hop beats and was first experimenting with dubstep and other EDM sounds. We did all this in the span of 2 weeks, so we only finished 3 tracks, but you can scope some of the unfinished sketches below.
None of this has been touched since that month at District 10 Studios. I have learned a lot in the past 6 months and can’t wait to qollab with Richard Dorotheo again…so expect another EP in the future.

Some of these could have been really cool. Isn’t fun to imagine what could have been?
